canon 5d mark iii

In the program: the same CMOS sensor from 19 to 21 Mpix his little brother the EOS 600D. Some optimizations of the new AF system appeared on the EOS 7D (it is new and deserves a few minor ergonomic improvements). Other than that I see nothing fundamental ...

Probably some minor ergonomic improvements and the arrival of a screen ratio 3 / 2 (that's really great to use, one realizes only when used), possibly steerable.

To replace the Canon EOS 5D Mk2: I take Paris in September 2011 for the worst (or a life of three years as its predecessor) ... Optimists watch for the announcement in March 2011 (two years and a half after its predecessor, which is also possible):

    * EOS 5D (13 MP): August 22, 2005 (36 months of life).
    * EOS 5D Mk2 (21 MP): September 17, 2008 (longevity from 30 to 36 months?).
    * Canon 5D Mk iii (24-32 MP) between March and September 2011?

Currently the EOS 5D Mk2 has no fear and is almost always one on one niche (read our famous guide full frame SLR written two years ago). Admittedly, the Nikon D700 is beginning to be marginalized by too small a sensor of 12 Mpix only ... When both full frame Sony Alpha, you never see it (but then never really, have you noticed), they are virtually ignored by professional photographers.

The EOS 5D Mk iii know a number of improvements (including ergonomics), emerged over the past three years on the EOS 7D, 60D and 550D:

    * Full frame sensor from 24 to 32 Mpix.
    * Extension of ISO sensitivity up to 51,200.
    * 5 RAW file sizes (in 3 places now).
    * Output up to 6 images / sec.
    * Customization (supervision) of ISO Range Auto.
    * New AF system inherited from the EOS 7D.
    * New measure 63 areas (the former suited me very well).
    * Display the ratio 3 / 2 (possibly larger and more defined).
    * Screen swivel (optional).
    * Blocking mode dial.
    * Move to the right of Depth of Field.
    * Move to the left of the On / Off switch.
    * Locking rear wheel, separate from the On / Off switch.
    * New buttons for controlling the video.
    * Setting finest burst of speed.
    * Artificial Horizon.
    * 100% viewfinder display of the image.
    * Display a grid option in the viewfinder.
    * Embedded Image Editing (RAW conversion).
    * Backup / transfer parameter settings on card.

    Fixed optical geometric and chromatic aberrations.

    * Improved functions and customization of the video.
    * Edit functions / rigging video.
    * Intervalometer board.
    * Compatible with Battery LP-E6 EOS 5D Mk2 current / 7D.
    * Dual slot for CF and SD cards.
    * Accompanied by a new EF 21-110 mm f / 4 L IS USM

A word about the successor to the EOS 60D (announced in August 2010), we should probably wait until August or even into the fall 2011 (if he resumes the life of the old traditional two-EOS figures was 18 months)  It will take the same sensor from 19 to 21 Mpix.

Also possible for such models "intermediate", Canon back to life a little longer (14 to 18 months), now there are three parallel lines, equipped with the same sensors. The useful life of 12 months of EOS 40D and 50D will probably remain exceptions
